Ringol — Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 17, 2026 (the sections about the website and the web game were added; the rest is unchanged since October 13, 2026)
This policy explains what information the mobile game Ringol ("the game") handles, and why. The game is published by Davit Vardanyan ("we"). Questions: vardanyan.ds@gmail.com.
This policy also covers the website ringol.app and the version of the game played there in a web browser ("the web game"); what differs on the web is described in the section The website and the web game.
Summary
- The game can be played without an account. We do not ask for your name, e-mail address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
- Your progress, scores and settings are stored on your device.
- The game may use analytics and advertising services described below. Where the law requires it, these are used only after you give consent, and you can change your choice at any time.
Information stored on your device
Game progress, best scores, selected language and other settings are saved locally on your device. They are removed when you delete the game or clear its data.
Analytics
To understand how the game is played and to fix problems, the game may use Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC). It may collect: app-instance and device identifiers, the advertising ID (if available and permitted), device model, operating system version, language and country (derived from the IP address; the IP address itself is not stored by us), and gameplay events such as a level being started or finished, scores, and settings changes. We do not use this data to identify you personally. See Google's Privacy Policy and Privacy and Security in Firebase.
Advertising
The game may show advertisements provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC) and its advertising partners. To deliver and measure ads, and to limit how often you see them, these services may process the advertising ID, device information, approximate location derived from the IP address, and information about your interaction with ads. Depending on your region and your choice, ads may be personalised or non-personalised. You can reset or delete the advertising ID and opt out of personalised ads in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising). See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Purchases
If the game offers in-app purchases, payments are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not receive your payment card details. We may receive a confirmation that a purchase was made so that the purchased item can be delivered.
Consent and your choices
- In regions where consent is required (for example the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the game asks for your choice before analytics or advertising identifiers are used, and offers a way to change it later in the game's settings.
- On iOS, tracking across apps and websites owned by other companies happens only if you allow it in the system prompt.
- You may ask us what information relating to you is held, or ask for its deletion, by writing to the address above. Because we do not hold accounts, please include the app-instance identifier shown in the game's settings if one is available.
The website and the web game
The website ringol.app (Firebase Hosting, Google LLC) and the web game at ringol.app/play work without an account. The hosting provider processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and to keep the service secure, as described in Privacy and Security in Firebase.
- Saved progress (local storage). The web game keeps your progress, scores and settings in your browser's storage on your device (IndexedDB). It is not sent to us. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes it.
- Web analytics: Google Analytics 4. If enabled, the website and the web game use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to count visits and to understand how the game is played: pages viewed, clicks on "Play now" and on the store badges, and the same gameplay events as the apps (a level started or finished, scores, settings changes). Google Analytics may process a cookie-based identifier (the
_gacookies), your browser and device type, language and approximate location derived from the IP address. We use Google Consent Mode: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland analytics cookies are not set until you allow them, and without that permission Google receives only limited, cookieless signals without identifiers. In other regions analytics cookies are used by default (see "Consent on the web" below for how to refuse them). - Web ads: Google AdSense (H5 Games Ads). If enabled, the web game may show full-screen ads between levels and, when you choose to watch one, rewarded ads (for example a hint or a continue). They are provided by Google AdSense through Google's Ad Placement API. Google and its partners may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies, and process your IP address, browser and device information and your interaction with ads, to show, measure and limit ads, and, where you have allowed it, to personalise them. See How Google uses cookies in advertising and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- Cookies and similar technologies. The website itself sets no cookie of its own. The cookies and storage entries named above come from Google Analytics and Google's advertising services, within the consent rules described below. Google's consent message keeps your answer in a cookie of its own so that it is not asked again on every page.
- Consent on the web. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent message from Google (a Google-certified consent management platform, IAB TCF) asks for your choice, on whichever page of ringol.app you open first, before analytics or advertising cookies are used or ads are personalised. Your answer applies to every page of the site. You can change it at any time with the "Privacy choices" link at the bottom of the pages and in the web game's privacy settings (both are shown where the consent message applies). In other regions, analytics and advertising cookies are used by default. Everywhere, you can block or delete cookies in your browser, stop Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on, and opt out of personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com.
- Deleting your web data. Use "Delete my data" in the web game's privacy settings (where shown): it removes the Google Analytics cookies and turns Google Analytics off for the rest of that visit, so a new, unrelated identifier is used next time. You can also clear the site's cookies and storage in your browser. Because there are no accounts, we cannot link web analytics data to you; Google deletes it after the retention period below.
Children
The game is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Retention and security
Analytics data is retained by Google for the period configured in Firebase (by default up to 14 months for user-level data) and is transmitted over encrypted connections. Data stored on your device stays there until you remove it.
International transfers
The service providers named above may process information on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in their policies.
Changes
We may update this policy when the game changes. The effective date above shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced in the game or on its store page.
